Holy cow... Today was interesting. 3 sets of 100m 200m 300m 400m 500m latters up the sheep hill. It hurt a lot. I managed to do really well on all of the 400m's but botched the last 500m. I was really disappointed in myself and was talking to Brynlee about it. She told me that through every workout she tells herself "I can do all things through Christ." So, I drove back to the hill and had at it again. A 500m. My throat was dry, my legs were on fire, and my arms were sore but I just kept saying "I can do all things through Christ" and I made it through much quicker than before. I tried again, another 500m, and found the same results! It definitely made a bad workout turn into an awesome experience! Shoutout to Bryn for that :) and for a great day!

Boy oh boy... I don't know what to do except try to find the good and hope it'll all come together someday. 1) Best first mile I've had all season, finally starting out where I should 2) Passed 1 guy on the home stretch 3) Cheered really hard for all the other races! I am going to work on the first two miles next race and just stay relaxed. Decided to not worry about college running anymore because at this rate it's not happening so why stress it?

If you saw my last post on the kicker, this was the same story😂 The goal was to beat the record (Andrew's 8:10). I did, but Andrew ran an 8:05 and beat me! What a guy. Both of us felt good today and were duking it out, switching the lead. It's alright though. I was positive and am proud of what I've done! Hopefully we do it a couple more times so I can push for sub 8😆

2) I developed a pretty good cold this weekend and it was at its worst today. Not to mention the air wasn't so good to breathe

Boomerang workout today! Down and up a hill for 1000m 6 times at 5k pace. 3:30 rest in between. Not too hard, we were ahead of the said pace by a lot each set. I kept it consistent, controlled, and focused on the uphill! Felt good about it :) And finished to medium mileage today, so that's a win!

My soleus/achilles felt really bad all day just walking... tried running and that wasn't so hot. Finished with a light 30 min bike ride! Still planning on racing tomorrow :) Yay for adrenaline!

No T-Shirt today. The main goals were to take a controlled first mile, focus on the second, and get a shirt! Controlled the first, held the 2nd, and I am not sure how the third was so bad😕 Side note... first experience getting spiked in a race, right around the starting bend. Ripped my spikes, put a hole in my sock, and punctured my toe pretty good! It was deep but right on the bend so I can't get stitches or they would rip too easy. It's not likely, but I am scared it's broken😬 My achilles was pretty flared too, even on the warm up. I got to see Gan though!! I love her :)

Great news! Running felt alright today :) I will probably just be running 6 miles everyday now and biking the rest of my mileage to ensure an injury free season. I biked 20min today and it felt good! Also added single leg squats to my abs, hips, and push-ups/pull-ups!

Speed day. 10 x 400m! On the track! It got me excited :) The said paces were 5 at 5k, 3 at 2 mile, and 2 at mile. Tried to stay on the outside lanes so I could push harder but not push pace with the guys. Hit 76, 76, 75, 73, 78, 69, 70, 70, 62, 63. Very pleased with my times, effort, and mental state. Finished up with 20 min on the bike!
