| Mile repeats today were pretty alright, definitely better than I anticipated! But honestly I didn't expect too much😉 First one was a little slow 5:22, the next two were just kind of sticking it through, trying to stay in it 5:15, 5:18, the last one I tried to push the first half and then I relied on Collin and Herschel to push me the second half and came in at 5:12. This was the same course as last time, an extra rep, and I stayed pretty similar to the times :) Lots of other people killed it today too! Shoutout to James, Teapot, Bryn, and Watson👍🏼

| Great run today for the 2nd day of camp! First mile was nice and easy, the next 10 miles were at a pretty solid pace, and the last mile we dropped a 6:04 :) Averaged 7:05. Even through we went further, I felt better today and it was nice!

| The big 10 miler today for our last day of camp. We went to Potato Hill and it was actually super cool. There were some sweet switchbacks that we bombed! It was a bummer because we were the first group and had to mark all of the turns and forks in the path so the other groups could make it smoothly. So, we stopped a lot😕 Nonetheless, it was a solid run and we averaged under 7 (including a 9+ minute warm up mile!). Finished with abs, hips, and push ups.

| Pick ups today. I definitely underestimated this one! 10 x 60 seconds with 90 seconds of recovery run in between each rep. We averaged about a 4:40 pace on the first 9 and a 4:20 on the last one! My legs have been achey all day😝

| Well, not too hot of a performance today. I'm not sure what it was exactly! It didn't feel right leading up to the race, my first mile was slow, I lost sight and my other miles were slower😬 Good things: I beat last year's time, I felt more controlled on the hills, and I did remember to surge once. I'm going to watch my eating, sleeping, and hydrating so I can feel ready for grass relays :) And I did finish first for Skyridge so I will likely be starting or ending for the relay next week!

| Squeezed in 4 miles before I headed up the canyon with Jaydon and Caleb. There we did about a 2.25 mile run/hike on a sweet trail! In the latter of the day I finished up mileage by biking 4.5 miles with my dad :)

| Well, considering the heat... and all other circumstances... it was a good workout! I hit the time I wanted but wasn't quite record worthy because Andrew beat me😂 I'm so proud of him though! The cool down was tough. Never lots of fun to run 7 miles after you just killed yourself! I think I had a lack of blood sugar or hydration, maybe both?

| 😭 My achilles hurt today. I didn't have enough time to cross train so I just ran on it. It seems like this happens way too often and I'm not sure what to do. If I roll it then it temporarily feels good but I don't want to have this battle the rest of my running career!!

| Today was a low easy pace day. But... I played it safe and cross trained. Got on the stationary bikes for a 10 min warm up 35 minute endurance ride, and 5 minute cool down. We were supposed to do 5x100m strides... but, I tried 2 and decided I shouldn't test my luck😬 Abs, hips, and push ups!

| Start of awesome week! Jamie told us 8 sets of 600m on the berm, into 100m jog on the track, then 200m sprint! It was hot and my legs felt so tired because I was wearing compression socks to hold my achilles. But, Jamie came up to us after set 5 and said "Just kidding! This is your last one!" :) So that was nice! My 600's were 1:52, 1:54, 1:54, 1:55, 1:56, 1:54! Felt good about it. Bought some quarter length compression socks so I can support my achilles and not tire my calves! Hopefully it'll help😊

| The course was supposed to be 3 miles... But it wasn't😂 I'm not going to complain. The main idea of the race (workout) was to get a feel for pack running. Our top 5 varsity stuck together really well for the first 2 miles (both were about a 5:30) and then Andrew turned to me and said "let's go." We went. I had a hard time staying right with him, but we both passed some people and I feel like I had a good kick compared to my usual. Overall pretty satisfied!

I kind of started out way hard and slowly dropped... so it's not like I gave up but I wasted myself because I tried going too hard to begin with. Ran 3 miles after work (after I ate) and felt really sick! But, it was a quicker pace. Plus, my Hupanas felt a lot better this time around!
